Alongside robotics projects, I have also had a tremendous amount of fun working on projects for makerspaces. In this example, I created a system in which a user can input a set of desired coordinates for the Dual SCARA robotic arm, and the system calculates the necessary angles and completes the action. The goal of this project was to demonstrate how math can be applied directly to robotics projects. I've found that most students get incredibly excited about robotics projects, but tend to get nervous once some math is involved! This project was a way to show students that with a little bit of trig, their DIY robotics projects can do all kinds of exciting things!
